Foster School of Medicine student Hani Annabi is taking his passion for transforming health care and improving communities statewide as the 2022-2023 student regent for the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents.

Annabi, a graduate of Coronado High School, was appointed to serve a one-year term (expiring May 31, 2023) on the TTU System Board of Regents by Gov. Greg Abbott in June 2022. He is the 17th student to serve on the Board of Regents and the second from TTUHSC El Paso.

Already, Annabi has made an impact by sharing his leadership skills with students across the system’s five universities throughout the state of Texas. He hopes to encourage students to approach learning with an open mind, navigate adversity and build resilience.
