Future physician empowered by state-wide medical organization

Kim Nguyen, a Foster School of Medicine third-year student, earned the American Muslim Women Physicians Association (AMWPA) Merit Award from the Texas Medical Association.

“As a first-generation immigrant and female minority, I encountered a lot of struggles when trying to navigate the medical system. I’m thankful to have found an organization that empowers women and minorities in medical school.
