Chronic migraines drive medical student to research at the Mayo Clinic

Meesha Trivedi, a Foster School of Medicine third-year student, received a $3,000 Medical Student Research Grant from the American Academy of Neurology for her summer research project, "Identifying Demographic, Social, and Clinical History Features Associated with More-Severe Headache Symptoms: Analysis of the American Registry for Migraine Research (ARMR)." The project is supervised by Dr. Todd Schwedt at the Mayo Clinic.

“As someone who lives with chronic migraines, it’s a privilege to be trained to distill masses of data from migraine patients into findings that may advance understanding of this disease affecting a billion people worldwide. I hope to dedicate my career to this work, so I’m very grateful for the AAN grant.”- Meesha Trivedi
